Send Apps to TV
Privacy policy
Your files never leave your own network. They move directly between your own devices across your own Wi-Fi. There is no account and no server of ours in the path. Since version 1.3.0 the app sends anonymous usage and crash statistics through Google Firebase so we can see where setup fails and fix crashes. It contains no advertising SDK.
What is collected, and why
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They collect:
- App activity: that the app was opened, whether a device was found on the network, and whether a transfer finished or failed, with the number of files and whether one was an app. Never file names, file contents, device names or network addresses.
- Device and diagnostic data: device model, Android version, app version, whether it runs on a phone or a TV, and crash reports (stack traces).
- Identifiers: a Firebase installation ID and app instance ID, used to count devices without knowing who you are. Not the advertising ID.
This data is used only to understand and improve the app. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone except Google as the processor. It is sent encrypted (HTTPS). Google keeps analytics data for up to 14 months and crash reports for 90 days. To delete it, uninstall the app, which resets the identifiers, or ask us through the contact address below to delete the data tied to your installation. Delete your data
This applies to Send Apps to TV (com.send.apps.to.tv)

- On your device: uninstall the app, or open Android Settings → Apps → Send Apps to TV → Storage → Clear storage. This deletes your transfer history and settings immediately and resets the analytics identifiers.
- Data already sent to Firebase: email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Send Apps to TV data", and include your device model and the date you last used the app. We delete the matching analytics and crash data within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What is deleted: usage events, device and app information, crash reports and the identifiers above. Nothing is kept afterwards. Analytics data you do not ask us to delete is removed automatically after the retention periods stated above.
What is not collected
- No account, sign-in, email address or name.
- No advertising identifier and no advertising SDK.
- No contact list, no location, no browsing history.
- No copies of the files you send. They go device to device and are never uploaded anywhere.
What stays on your device
The app stores a short transfer history and your settings locally so it can show recent devices and remember preferences. This never leaves the phone, and clearing the app's storage or uninstalling removes it.
Permissions, and why each one exists

Deliberately not requested: all-files access, photo and video library permissions, and location. Photos and video come from Android's own picker, which hands over only the items you tap. Other files come from the document picker.
Third-party services
The app includes Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (described above), and Google Play's in-app review and in-app update libraries so it can offer a rating prompt and tell you when a new version exists. These are provided by Google and are governed by the Google privacy policy. Distribution through Google Play is likewise covered by Google's own terms.
Children
The app is a general-purpose utility, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
