Send Apps to TV

Privacy policy

Last updated September 2026 · applies to com.send.apps.to.tv

The app collects nothing and sends nothing to us. Files move directly between your own devices across your own Wi-Fi network. There is no account, no server of ours in the path, and no analytics or advertising SDK in the app.

What is not collected

  • No account, sign-in, email address or name.
  • No analytics, no advertising identifier, no crash-reporting SDK.
  • No contact list, no location, no browsing history.
  • No copies of the files you send. They go device to device and are never uploaded anywhere.

What stays on your device

The app stores a short transfer history and your settings locally so it can show recent devices and remember preferences. This never leaves the phone, and clearing the app's storage or uninstalling removes it.

Permissions, and why each one exists

PermissionWhy
Internet, network state, Wi-Fi state, Wi-Fi multicast To find devices on your local network and move files between them. Used for local traffic, not to send anything to us.
Install unknown apps Sending an app to a TV ends with Android's own installer, which cannot be launched without this. You always confirm the install on the TV.
Foreground service & wake lock To keep a transfer running, and the screen awake, while a large file is moving.
Notifications To show transfer progress. You can decline it and everything still works.
Run at startup So a TV acting as a receiver is ready after it reboots.

Deliberately not requested: all-files access, photo and video library permissions, and location. Photos and video come from Android's own picker, which hands over only the items you tap. Other files come from the document picker.

Third-party services

The app includes Google Play's in-app review and in-app update libraries so it can offer a rating prompt and tell you when a new version exists. These are provided by Google and are governed by the Google privacy policy. Distribution through Google Play is likewise covered by Google's own terms.

Children

The app is a general-purpose utility, is not directed at children, and collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent through the developer contact address on the app's Google Play listing.
